Stephen Barrett

Joined Wainwright in 2005

Prior to joining Wainwright, Mr. Barrett was the chairman & CEO of Wainwright’s predecessor firm, H.C. Wainwright & Co., Inc.  Previously, Mr. Barrett was employed by Alex. Brown & Sons Incorporated  for approximately fourteen years and Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Inc. for approximately ten years.  Mr. Barrett held senior business development and management roles at both firms.  Mr. Barrett formerly served as a board member of both the Boston Stock Exchange and the NASDAQ.  Mr. Barrett holds a B.A. in fine arts from the College of William & Mary and holds the FINRA Series 1, 63 and 65 licenses.

Mr. Barrett lives in Vero Beach, Florida with his wife of more than 45 years.  He has three children and eight grandchildren.
